The shooting of Valmiki has been finally wrapped up. Directed by Harish Shankar, the film stars Varun Tej, Pooja Hegde and Kollywood actor Atharvaa Murali in the lead roles. The gangster flick is a remake of Tamil film 'Jigarthanda' directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Valmiki is set to hit the screens on September 20.

Director Harish took to his Twitter page to announce the completion of the film shoot. Legendary comedy actor Brahmanandam was also part of the final day shoot. Harish wrote, "The best last day shoot for VALMIKI with the legend him self ... what a way to finish.. Thank you Brahmi Baabay for ur kind heart and blessings #ValmikiFromSeptember20th"

Varun Tej essays the lead role of a notorious gangster and is sporting a never-seen-before look. Atharvaa Murali plays the role of an aspiring young filmmaker. Pooja Hedge plays the leading lady. The film has music by Mickey J Meyer, cinematography by Ayananka Bose and editing by Chota K Prasad. It is produced by Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta.
