New movie releases this week were not too many, given the number of releases from the week prior. Despite that, the ones which did have not managed to bank in on the advantage. A look into the films this time around:
- Saaho (Telugu/Hindi/Tamil): One of the highly anticipated movies in the film fraternity, this multilingual drew in sharp criticism for its poor writing and un-exciting screenplay. For a film that claims to be made with 350 crore and with a star like Prabhas at the fore-front, Saaho which revolves around a series of robberies could have offered more than just stunt sequences. - Sixer (Tamil): Sixer starring Vaibhav, Satish and Palak Lalwani has done well for an underdog this week. The story of a night-blind man being mistaken for his activities and him struggling in his love life because of the same is told in a comic manner and the laughs in the film, along with its new concept makes it an average watch. Others
Other new releases that are in TN theaters this week are Mayuran (Tamil) which a crime thriller and Kuttranilai (Tamil).
