Upcoming animated adventure film Abominable which is being presented by Universal Studios worldwide, recently set its release date to be September 27, 2019 and in India the film will be releasing in both 2D and 3D versions. A joint production venture of Dreamworks Animation and Pearl Studio, the movie is about a teenager girl Yi (voiced by Chloe Bennet) who discovers a young Yeti hiding on the roof of her Shanghai apartment building.

The journey of how she and her friends reunite the Yeti (whom they name Everest) to the highest point on Earth, while outrunning the people who captured and displaced Everest in a secret laboratory is what forms the rest of the story. Abominable is written and directed by Jill Culton and speaking about her movie which has been in the works since 2010, Culton has said, 

“It gets dangerous, it gets scary, the visuals are over the top. It is not an easy movie, and it deals with hard subject matters as well. I don’t want these movies to just be sheer entertainment, where people leave the theater and they forget about it. I work so many years on these movies that they have to mean something.”
