The release date Eid 2020 has been hitting the headlines for quite a while now. It's a well known fact that in Bollywood that Salman Khan traditionally owns the Eid release with any of his new films releasing on that festive day.  Salman Khan's Inshallah was initially slated for Eid 2020 release. While Salman Khan announced the film's release will be postponed, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali had later announced that the project has been shelved.

Salman Khan had mentioned that though Inshallah has been postponed, he will still meet the audience on the occasion of Eid.  Keeping up his word, Salman Khan took to his Twitter page to announce that Kick 2 will be releasing on Eid 2020. Though he didn't mention the film's name, he hinted by writing a dialogue from 'Kick'. "Itna mat sochna mere baare mein, Dil mein aata hoon.. aur Eid pe bhi," read the actor's Twitter handle.

On the other hand, the makers of Laxmmi Bomb have also preponed the film's release from June 5, 2020 to Eid 2020 which falls on May 22, 2020, following the announcement of Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer Inshallah getting shelved.
