Atharvaa Murali-Anupama Parameswaran starrer new film, directed by Kannan that recently went on floors recently is confirmed to be an official remake of Telugu movie Ninnu Kori. The original featured Nani, Nivetha Thomas and Aadhi in lead roles, which was a romantic drama that garnered good response and was a box office hit as well. Director Kannan, who has already remade couple of Hindi movies Jab We Met (Kanden Kadhalai) and Delhi Belly (Settai), is helming this project.

While the lead roles that were performed by Nani and Nivetha are recreated by Atharvaa Murali and Anupama, the other artiste for Aadhi’s role is yet to be finalized. It will be confirmed by the time, the crew wraps up with Chennai schedule as this character appears only in abroad portions. The news was officially confirmed by Vidyullekha Raman on her Twitter page as she said,

“Tamil makkale! Back on Twitter to announce some nice news. Started shooting a Tamil movie today after a long break from the industry. Makes me feel happy to be back!! NINNU KORI Tamil remake with Atharvaa & Anupama reprising the same role I did in Telugu.” (Sic)
