Samantha Akkineni who is basking in the success of her latest outing 'Oh Baby' is making a mark in Tollywood with her choice of films. Samantha has started shooting for her next film which is the Telugu remake of Tamil film 96. Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha starrer romantic drama 96 was a huge hit in Kollywood. C Prem Kumar who helmed the original version is directing the sequel as well. 

Samantha is currently shooting in Hyderbad for 96 remake. The actress was seen sporting a white salwar and a blue duppatta while holding a mic for a particular scene featuring in the movie. Sharwanand plays the lead actor and is expected to join the sets soon. The film is produced by Dil Raju who has secured the remake rights of the film. Govind Vasantha who scored the music for the original will compose music for the remake as well.
