The first look of 83, Ranveer Singh's upcoming film based on India's victory in the 1983 cricket world cup was released marking the occasion of the actor's birthday today. Singh looks uncannily like the former cricketing champ Kapil Dev, who was the captain of world cup winning team in 1983.

Unveiling the first look, Ranveer posted, "On my special day, here's presenting the Haryana hurricane, Kapil Dev" and even received a thumbs up from cricketer Shikhar Dhawan who wrote, "Looking exact like pajhi (Kapil Dev)".

83 is currently being filmed in London and is slated for a April 2020 release. The film is directed by Kabir Khan and also stars Deepika Padukone among others in it.
