Following Tamil lyricist Madhan Karky, actor Arvind Swami has joined the Tamil version of The Lion King, an upcoming live-action re-imagining of the 1994 animated classic; He will be voicing for the film's villain lion, Scar.
The Lion King is directed by Jon Favreau of Iron Man and The Jungle Book fame and is hitting theater screens on July 19, 2019.
The film is also releasing in English, Hindi and Telugu and the Hindi version has Shahrukh Khan and his son Aryan Khan voicing the lead characters Mufasa and Simba.
