While Vijay is busy shooting for Thalapathy 63, his upcoming sports drama with director Atlee, news of his next project (Vijay 64/ Thalapathy 64) has started doing the rounds. Earlier, it seemed likely that Mohan Raja would be directing Thalapathy 64 after Raja announced at a college event that he would be joining hands with the Thalapathy actor for a project.
However, sources close to Vijay denied this development and now it is being suggested that a young and upcoming talent would be directing Vijay's 64th film. It is also being said that the makers are holding talks with many such names and an official announcement can be expected soon.
It is worth mentioning here that Vijay had roped in the then 1 film old Atlee to direct him in Theri which was produced by a big banner (V Creations). Atlee has since directed two big budgeted films and both of them have been with Vijay.
