The first trailer for The Tashkent Files was released online on Monday. The thriller is reportedly based on mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.


The Tashkent Files is a movie based on the mysterious death of in Tashkent. Shastri died on 10th January 1966, after signing the Tashkent Declaration, a move that formally resigned the Indo-Pak war of 1965. Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, the movie is hitting theatre screens on April 12, 2019. The movie is produced by Vivek Agnihotri himself.
