Wink Sensation Priya Prakash Varrier is making her Bollywood debut with a movie called Sridevi Bungalow and the teaser of this said film which was unveiled recently has drawn harsh criticism from the twitterati.

The teaser portrays Varrier as an actress named Sridevi who is also shown ending up dead in a bath-tub, a reference believed to be taken from the late actress Sridevi's life who was found dead last year in the bath-tub of a hotel room in Dubai.

Such a shameful and disgusting act it is by the makers of #SrideviBungalow to depict the legendary actress in such a disgraceful manner. Utter nonsense and rubbish it is. I want the Indian Film Fraternity to take strong action on it. The departed soul deserves respect. 🙏🙏🙏

In addition to the flak received for this directorial venture of Prasanth Mampully, Sridevi producer-husband Boney Kapoor has filed a defamation suit against the makers, which has also been confirmed by the film's director.

However, Prashanth Mampully has stated that his upcoming suspense thriller is not based on the late actress and that he will face the issue legally in court.
