A few days ago, actress Hansika's 50th film Maha had its first look poster release and we had reported even back then that the poster is capable of attracting backlash for Hansika was seen smoking from a chillum in it.

As anticipated, a lawyer by the name Janaki Raman who is also the state secretary of the social justice wing of PMK has reportedly filed a PIL in court asking for strict action to be taken against the team for 'hurting religious sentiments'. He has stated,

This poster berates religious sentiments; hence strict legal actions should be taken against actress Hansika and director of the film UR Jameel.

It is worth mentioning here that Varanasi, though a holy place is famous for weed and chillums and the nomadic sages over there are often spotted smoking the same. The poster in question in which Hansika is seen smoking also seems to be set in that Varanasi background.
