Stree directed by Amar Kaushik starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi in the lead roles hit the screens on August 31. The horror-comedy has managed to impress the audience and the critics alike and is riding high on word of mouth. The film is doing fantastic business at the Box Office as well. It has joined the Rs. 100 crore club in its third week. It has earned Rs. 106.18 cr so far.

Stree has been declared a blockbuster by the trade. It is the ninth Hindi film to join the elite Rs. 100 crore club this year. Previously, Padmaavat, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Raid, Baaghi 2, Raazi, Race 3, Sanju, and Gold earned more than Rs 100 crore in 2018.

Stree is set against the backdrop of a small town named Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh where men disappear every year on the first fours nights of Navratri. A sequel has already been planned for Stree which would go on floors by the end of 2019 and star Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor.
