Director Pa. Ranjith's upcoming production venture Pariyerum Perumal is gearing up for release this month. The film will hit the screens on September 28. It will be clashing with Mani Ratnam's Chekka Chivantha Vaanam (CCV) at the Box Office. CCV which was initially slated for release on September 28 will be hitting the screens a day before on September 27.

The audio of the film which was released recently has received good response from fans. Santosh Narayanan has scored the music. Pariyerum Perumal is directed by debutant Mari Selvaraj. Kathir and Anandhi play the lead roles in this rural drama. The film deals with Kathir (Pariyerum Perumal) who is a law college student and the hurdles faced by him in becoming a lawyer. The film also touches upon socio-political issues still prevailing in the rural villages.
