Malayalam superstar Mammootty will be essaying the titular role of late Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy in the biopic titled Yatra. The first single 'Samara Shankham' has been launched by the makers on September 2, 2018, which marks the death anniversary of late YS Rajasekhar Reddy. The song sung by Kaala Bhairava has music by K. 

Yatra will pay tribute to YSR’s historic 60-day Padayatra in 2003. Mahi V Raghav is helming the biopic. Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy are bankrolling this prestigious project under 70mm Entertainments banner. The makers are planning to release the movie in January next year for Sankranthi.
