During the audio launch of Hari directed Saamy Square, it was said that the film cab be expected to hit theatre screens this month i.e. August, 2018. However, a source close to the film informs MovieCrow that the makers of the Vikram starrer, are eyeing a holiday weekend and hence the film is most likely to release on September 21, 2018, the day which is a public holiday for Muharram. However, the film has to undergo TFPC clearance before announcing the official release date.
Incidentally, the makers of one more film are also eyeing the same holiday weekend slot. Industry insiders tell us that Atharvaa's latest film Boomerang, which is directed by R. Kannan is also likely to release around the same date. Sounds like a Sammy Square vs. Bommerang box-office clash, is in the brewing.
