Actor and MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna's upcoming film is a biopic on his father and former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao (NTR) and for days now, it has been specualted that actor Rana Daggubati will be seen playing the role of NTR's son-in-law and office successor Chandrababu Naidu. Rana recently confirmed the news in an interview while talking about his weight loss for the role and he made it official through his twitter page when he tweeted this picture.

Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, NTR Biopic has Bollywood actress Vidya Balan playing the late CM's first wife Basavatarakam, actor Jisshu Sengupta playing late filmmaker LV Prasad and Sachin Khederkar in the role of former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nadhendla Bhaskar Rao. The movie plans to hit theatre screens for Sankranthi (January, 2019) and has MM Keeravani for music.
