The release of Ghajinikanth has been pushed by a week to August 3. The film was initially slated for release on July 27. Vijay Sethupathi's Junga and Trisha's Mohini are also slated for release on the same day. The makers aiming for a solo release have decided to postpone the film's release to August 3. 

Directed by Santhosh P Jayakumar of Hara Hara Mahadev Ki fame, Ghajinikanth stars Arya and Sayyesha in the lead roles. The film has been censored with a clean 'U' certificate. The cast also includes Karunakaran, Sathish, Mottai Rajendran for providing the comic relief. Ghajinikanth is produced by KE Gananvel Raja under his banner Studio Green.
