Actor Shahid Kapoor's upcoming film Batti Gul Meter Chalu in which he will be senn alongside his Haider co-star Shradhha Kapoor and actress Yami Gautham, has undergone two release date changes all within a matter of a few days. Initially, the release date was announced to being pushed from August 31, 2018 to September 14, 2018 and now, it has been further pushed to September 21, 2018.
Touted to be a film on electricity shortage and the inaccuracies of electricity bills, Batti Gul Meter Chalu is directed by Shree Narayan Singh of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha fame and is a joint production venture of Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Shree Narayan Singh, Nitin Chandrachud, Kusum Arora and Nishant Pitti.
