FEFSI and Bigg Boss 2 Tamil producers resolve their issues!

PUBLISHED DATE | 02/Jul/2018

We had earlier reported about the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) planning to boycott the shooting of Bigg BossTamil 2, for they believed that Endemol Shine, producers of the show did not adhere to the norms of the federation while employing the crew on-set. FEFSI even gave a time frame for the producers to act on (which was till June 30, 2018) and Endemol in the mean-time obtained an interim junction from the court to disallow FEFSI from interfering with their shoots.

However, seems like both parties have now come to a mutual beneficial conclusion as R.K. Selvamani, president of FEFSI held a press interaction on Sunday along with actress Khushbu, head of the Chinnathirai Thayarippalargal Sangam and issued the following statement,

“..the channel (Vijay TV) has signed up the production house (Endemol Shine) on contract to provide content (Bigg Boss Tamil)...Khushbu, who heads the Chinnathirai Thayarippalargal Sangam, had been out of country when the issue cropped up first. But upon her return, she called me to check.. We told her that we had entered into an agreement earlier and we only wanted them (the show's producers) to follow it. Within 24 hours, she brought all the parties on board for a dialogue. We have now come to a mutual agreement on how many of our people should work on the project..
They should definitely have members from seven of our 23 unions. And they can have members from the other unions according to need... Like when they are shooting Kamal sir’s episodes, they might need 400 people on the crew, and on that day, they should have 200 of our members."
