The shooting of Queen Telugu remake is progressing at a brisk pace. Prashant Varma of 'Awe' fame is helming the project. Tamannaah Bhatia plays Kangana Ranaut's character in the Telugu remake of Queen. The makers have changed the film's title. The title 'Queen Once Again' has now been changed to 'That Is Mahalakshmi'.  

The film shooting was put on hold after director Neelakanta Reddy walked out of the project midway citing creative differences with Tamannaah. Director Prasanth Varma has already started work on the film and will be completing the rest of the film. 

Queen starring Kangana Ranaut in the lead role directed by Vikas Bahl was a Blockbuster hit Bollywood film. The film is also being remade in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam.  While Kajal Aggarwal plays the lead role in Tamil version Paris Paris, Manjima Mohan and Parul Yadav will be seen in Malayalam (titled Zam Zam) and Kannada (titled Butterfly) version of the Bollywood film. Ramesh Aravind is directing the Tamil and Kannada version of the film.
