The much awaited trailer of Sanju featuring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role was launched yesterday in a grand event. Sanju trailer showcases the highs and lows of Sanjay Dutt's life. Ranbir Kapoor has delivered a power packed performance portraying Sanjay Dutt in the various stages of his life. 

Director Rajkumar Hirani who earlier shared the first look poster of Anushka Sharma from Sanju, chose not to reveal the details of her role in the film. Director Rajkumar Hirani had revealed the character played by Anushka Sharma in Sanju during the trailer launch of the film. He said that Anushka Sharma stars as a biographer and her character is derived from himself and Abhijat Joshi, the co-writer of the film. "She is playing a biographer from London, and she comes to India. Sanjay wants her to write a book on him whereas she doesn't want to. So basically she is us, but not as a filmmaker... (as) a biographer" said Hirani.

Sanju is a biopic based on the life of Sanjay Dutt. The film also stars Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Boman Irani and Jim Sarbh. Sanju his the screens on June 29.
