If the industry buzz is anything to go by then actor Karthi's next film after Kadaikutty Singam which is also his 17th film might loose its tentative tile of Karthi 17 afterall. Word is that the movie has been titled Dev which interestingly is also the name of Karthi's newphew (avtos Suriya and Jyothika's son); however an official confirmation on the same is yet to be made. Karthi 17 which has Rakul Preet Singh is currently in the process of shooting and is directed by debutant Rajat Ravishankar (former assistant of director R. Kannan).
Ramya Krishnan, Prakash Raj, R.J.Vignesh, Amruta, Renuka and actor Karthik too have roles in the film, which is touted to be a travel adventure and is produced by Lakshman Kumar of Prince Pictures in association with Reliance Entertainment. The movie has Harris Jayaraj for music, Velraj for cinematography and Ruben for the edits.
