Director Ram Gopal Varma is in the centre-storm of a huge controversy, in which the director has accepted to instigating the actress fighting against casting couch to verbally abuse actor-politician Pawan Kalyan. Naturally, RGV is bearing the wrath of the Telugu Film industry and sensing the tension that has been created, actorNagarjuna has reportedly decided against going forward with the director for his son Akhil Akkineni's movie. However, Varma will still be directing Nagarjuna in his upcoming film Officer which is due to hit theatre screens in May, 2018.
Akhil on the other hand will now focus on his untitled film with Tholi Prema director Venky Atluri. This project will be bankrolled by BVSN Prasad and has music by Thaman and cinematography by George C Williams.
