Latest on Vikram's 300 crore film, Mahavir Karna

Earlier this year, actor Vikram confirmed being part of a magnum opus titled Mahavir Karna through his Instagram post. Now, the movie is back in the news for its director R.S. Vimal visited the Sabarimala shrine with the movie's script to seek lord Ayappan's blessings. Initially announced to be made in Hindi, it has now been revealed that Mahavir Karna will be released in Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam and dubbed into other languages. It has also come to light that the team which is expected to begin shooting from October, 2018 at Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City will continue shooting at locations like Jodhpur and Canada. Speaking to a leading Malayalam daily, the director has been quoted on the film as saying,  Mahavir Karna is a movie with an international appeal, with Mahabharata as the central theme. In fact, the story of Mahabharata is presented through Karnan. This movie has absolutely no connection with Kerala."

The director has also reportedly said that he had to write the script eight times in order to perfect it. Mahavir Karna will be produced by New York based banner United Film Kingdom and the film plans to release by December, 2019. The team is currently on the lookout for Pan-Indian actors to appeal to audiences of all languages.
