Megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming Telugu period drama Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, which chronicles the epic story of Kurnool-based freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy will be the 151st film of Chiranjeevi in his long and eventful career. The magnum opus Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is a high budget film produced by Ram Charan on a whopping budget of 200 crore.

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who plays a cameo in the film. He is currently shooting in Hyderabad and his portion will be wrapped in a few days. Hours before landing in Hyderabad for the shoot, Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his blog, “Dear friend Chiranjeevi, that majestic superstar and icon from the world of Andhra and Telugu cinema, requests for a guest appearance in his magnum opus, on a most valiant period character that he portrays, and I agree.”

Amitabh Bachchan has donned a bearded look for his cameo in the film. The film boasts an exciting ensemble cast featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Kichcha Sudeep, Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Jagapathi Babu in important roles. Vijay Sethupathi will be seen as Chiranjeevi’s trusted aide, Obayya.

AR Rahman was originally signed for the project, but he opted out of the project, due to other project commitments. The makers are yet to finalise a composer for the film which is directed by Surender Reddy.
