Ashutosh Gowariker is all set for his next venture Panipat, a historical film based on the battle of the same name. The battle of Panipat was long-drawn, ending up in victory of the Durrani Empire and is considered one of the largest and most eventful battle in the 18th century. Naturally, the film Panipat will be a magnum opus loaded with high-octane action.

The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. Panipat is slated to release on December 6, 2019. The makers have released the first teaser poster of the film. The film will go on floors in mid-2018. The film is produced by Ashutosh Gowariker's wife, Sunita, and Rohit Shelatkar's company, Vision World.
