The shooting of Dhanush's Maari 2 is progressing at a brisk pace. Varalakshmi SarathKumar who is playing one of the female leads has joined the team for the shoot.

Sai Pallavi plays the other female lead. Tovino Thomas, actor Krishna and Robo Shankar play pivotal roles in the film. Balaji Mohan is directing the sequel as well. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music. Maari 2 is bankrolled by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films

The team has wrapped up a schedule in Tenkasi schedule and currently shooting in Chennai.
