It has hardly been a month since Suriya starrer Thaana Serndha Kootam released and incidents of attempted fake IT raids have already started emerging. To the unknown, Thaana Serndha Kootam, directed by Vignesh Shivn, shows Suriya and his gang posing as CBI and IT raid officials and looting wealth from the rich and corrupt. In what seems to an attempt inspired from this movie, a person by the name Mithesh Kumar claiming himself to be from the Income Tax department, had allegedly entered politician J. Deepa's house and ended up creating a commotion.
Reports claim Mithesh Kumar reached Deepa's house at Sivagnanam Street, T Nagar, Chennai and had announced that he would be joined by his colleagues to conduct a search. However, doubts of 'IT Raid' being fake had creeped when Deepa's husband Madhavan and people present there found Mithesh to be contradicting his credentials. Mithesh later managed to flee the place before the Police could catch a hold of him.
While Deepa's side is expected to file a police case, some consider this diversion to be staged as the niece of former Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha was recenly under the scanner for allegedly abetting money, in return for posts in her forum.
