When Yuvan Shankar Raja was announced as the music director of Maari 2, though a lot of fans rejoiced, some expressed that Anirudh would definitely be missed. Director Balaji Mohan was asked about bringing Yuvan into the Maari franchise, in a recent interview. This is what he said,
"The Dhanush-Yuvan duo has created magic in the past and Yuvan's music was actually a big strength to Dhanush during his initial years in cinema. To have them back together after a decade for my movie makes it all the more special. So far I have collaborated with technicians from my generation but in Maari 2, I have the opportunity to work with a legend like Yuvan."
Maari 2 is currently being shot in Tenkasi. The action will shift to Chennai in Feb-end.
