Suriya vs Vikram confirmed for Pongal

Chiyaan Vikram's Sketch has cleared the censor test with a UA certificate and is now confirmed to release on Jan 12 for the Pongal weekend. It'll take on Suriya's Thaana Serndha Koottam which was also censored with UA yesterday. It's probably the first time in a long while that a Suriya vs Vikram contest would be happening at the boxoffice. The result would be keenly awaited as both the stars are evenly matched in stardom, fan base and market value.

Vijay Chander directs Sketch, which is a Thaman musical with Tamannaah as the heroine. The film is said to be high on action scenes, particularly one shot in the harbor, long car chases shot in the narrow streets of North Madras and the climax action stretch.
