Velaikkaran Preview - Sivakarthikeyan's biggest movie yet
Sivakarthikeyan starrer Velaikkaran premieres on December 22, 2017, just in time for Christmas and here is a preview of what makes the film a must watch.
Sivakarthikeyan in a socio- commercial entertainer
After the highly successful social-entertainers like Ethir Neechal and Kaaki Sattai, Sivakarthikeyan is back in an even more serious socio-commercial entertainer i.e. Velaikkaran. The actor's decision to quit working in commercials post this film is proof of the seriousness of the social message addressed in it.
Mohan Raja - the proven director
In 2015, Mohan Raja directed Thani Oruvan was so well received that it broke his mould of being a remake director and established him as a bankable one. Velaikkaran is his immediate project after Thani Oruvan and has also been written by Thani Oruvan writer Subha. So, we cannot wait to see what he has in store this time.
Solid Star Cast
Velaikkaran marks the debut of Malayalam actor Fahad Faasil in Tamil, who will be seen in a grey role. It also marks the return of actress Sneha to the silver-screen. Besides such performers, it has Nayanthara playing the female lead who is teaming up with Sivakarthikeyan for the first time.
Sivakarthikeyan - Anirudh Combo
Anirudh 's compositions for Sivakarthikeyan in the past (Ethir Neechal, Maan Karate, Kaaki Sattai & Remo) have proven to be chartbusters and the films themselves were no less of blockbusters. Since it is their sixth time together (including 3) and with songs like Iraivaa & Karthuvanellam Galeejaam already becoming popular hits, the film is already showing traces of a success run.
Rich Production Value
Velaikkaran is produced by 24 AM Studios, the banner which debuted with Sivakarthikeyan's Remo. And just like Remo, the production house has left no stone unturned in providing authentic yet quality visuals for the film. Art director T. Muthuraj's slum set (see video here) and Ramji's cinematography (see teaser here) stand proof of the same.
Velaikkaran comes with a run-time of 2 hours 39 minutes 41 seconds and also starrs Prakash Raj, Vijay Vasanth, Sathish, RJ Balaji, Charlie among others. The film has been censored with a clean U with edits by Ruben and Vivek Harshan.
