The latest in a long line of Mersal boxoffice exploits is the 200 CR WW gross mark. Thalapathy Vijay fans are celebrating this milestone with a far reaching Twitter trend now. A rough break up of the film's collections after the 2nd weekend (12 days) is as follows,

TN - 105 CR

Overseas - 65+ CR

Kerala, Karnataka & ROI - close to 35 CR

As we know, the film's Telugu dubbed version Adirindhi is yet to release. Grossing 200+ CR WW with just a single version is mighty special indeed. Prior to Mersal, among Tamil heroes, only Rajini had achieved this 200+ CR feat, with Enthiran and Kabali (both films had Telugu and Hindi dubbed versions).

With Mersal, Vijay has bossed over his fellow contemporaries without any shadow of doubt. All eyes on Thalapathy62 now.
