Thiruttu Payalae 2 director Susi Ganesan excited about Nee Paarkum song outcome

The very first song that was released from Susi Ganesan's Thiruttu Payalae 2 was Nee Parkum featuring Bobby Simha and Amala Paul. It has been over a month since the video first hit YouTube and it has already garnered over a million views. It has also went on to top several radio channels and music charts. Speaking exclusively to Movie Crow, an ecstatic three time state award winning director said,

"When we started composing the song with Vidyasagar ji, I was very clear that I didn't need any drum beats or acoustics in the background. However, I was doubtful whether this kind of music would work for today's audience, who seem to take an interest in jarring music.

However the No. 1 ranking has really left me stunned as these are the factors that really elevate a creative person's vision. I think the audience were longing for this kind of music all along; the combination of the song's rhythm which is similar to that of a heart-beat and the visuals featuring Bobby Simha and Amala Paul, seems to have worked for it."

Thiruttu Payalae 2 is a sequel to Susi Ganesan's decade-old super-hit movie, which fetched him a state award for third best film. Produced by Kalpathi S. Aghoram of AGS Entertainment, the sequel hopes to hit theatre screens on November 3, 2017. Think Music India holds the audio rights of this Vidyasagar musical.
