Breaking - Director Ameer plays this pivotal role in Vada Chennai
Director Ameer being a part of Vada Chennai may be old news (read about it here) but what's latest is that the role he is playing in this Vetrimaaran directorial, is that of a head gangster. Ameer's character has been dubbed by the makers as an extended cameo and it appears in the timeline of the 80's with all other dons working under him. The evolution of 3 big dons from under his regime form the rest of the story of this gangster triology series. Vada Chennai is the first part of this series and has Dhanush and Amala Paul in the lead. The film also has Andreah Jeremaiah, Aishwarya Rajesh and actor-director Samuthirakani playing prominent roles in it. Interestingly this role will be the director's second screen apperance this year after his own directorial venture Santhana Devan.
Vada Chennai is jointly produced by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films and Vetrimaaran's Grass Root Film Company. The film that has Santosh Narayanan for music, Velraj for cinematography and G.B. Venkatesh for the edits will be presented in theatre halls by Lyca Productions.
