Though 26th of October(Diwali) might be an important day for both Tamil and Hindi movie industries. 11/11/11 seems to be the next big festive season for both. 

The latest we hear is that Kollywood is  planning to release the next two biggies on triple 11 date. Dhanush & Selvaraghavan's Mayakkam Enna and STR's Osthi are moving ahead to get the movie released on this once in a millennium opportunity.

Both these movies were initially targeting a Diwali release and got their arms twisted and got pushed out because of lack of screens. Now, the Trade feels that only one movie would hit the screens on Nov 11th and the theatres would not be available to accommodate 2 big movies just within 2 weeks after Diwali. 

Selvaraghavan has accurately captured the sentiments of what is happening by recently commenting that  he fears that movie releases in the future will happen in a boxing ring. Indeed, very true!
