Oscars 2017 - The complete list of winners
The 89th annual Academy Awards also known as the Oscars was held at Dolby theatre in Los Angeles, California and was hosted by popular TV chat show host Jimmy Kimmel. Hollywood's most successful musical of 2016, La La Land swooped a total of 6 awards including best actress, cinematography and direction. Moonlight became the first LGBTQ film to be awarded with this prestigious prize. It won in the best adapted screenplay and best picture category. The hightlight of Hollywood's biggest evening was when Faye Dunaway wrongly read out La La Land as the victor of the Best Film. His co-presenter Warren Beatty later returned to the stage to admit their mistake pointing out that thay had been handed the previous winner's envelope which contained Emma Stone's La La Land victory.
