Vijay Sethupathi's Puriyaatha Puthir postponed, will not release for Pongal !

Vijay Sethupathi-Gayathrie starrer Puriyaatha Puthir which was scheduled to release on January 12, 2017 has been postponed. This makes only two films (Bairavaa and Kodiita Idangalai Nirapuga) left out in the Pongal race. In a statement regarding the decision, this is what the producer of the movie had to say :
