Sonakshi Sinha Not Playing a Pakistani Journalist in Noor

Sunhil Sippy's Noor which has a rather interesting tagline to it, one girl, many moods is based on a novel by Saba Imtiaz who is a Pakistani journalist writer. The 2014 novel titled Karachi You're Killing Me and Sonakshi's avatar in the movie had lead people thinking Sonakshi's role will also be that of a journalist from Pakistan. However, in a recent promotional event, Sonakshi cleared the air by stating that she will not be playing the conceived role. Not revealing much, she said her character in the movie will have a Mumbai backdrop.

Noor also stars Purab Kohli, Kannan Gill, Shibani Dandekar and has Sunny Leone performing in a cameo. The film is said to be shooting in just one schedule and expected to wrap by August. The movie is a joint venture of T-Series and Abudantia Entertainment.
