Sonakshi Sinha's Akira first look 

The shooting for AR Murugadoss' film Akira - starring Sonakshi Sinha - was wrapped up a few months ago. Fox Star Studios has confirmed that the film will hit the silver screen on 2 September. Akira is director AR Murugadoss's third Hindi film after Ghajini and Holiday, both of which were huge Box Office hits.  

Sonakshi will play the title role in the action thriller, which is the official remake of the superhit 2011 Tamil film, Mouna Guru. The film will see Sonakshi in an career-first, action-packed avatar and will also feature Anurag Kashyap play the antagonist.

Akira is Sonakshi's first release after Tevar, which released in January 2015.
