Akshay Kumar - Nimrat Kaur's starrer Airlift directed by Raja Krishan Menon hit the screens on January 22. It has been doing good business at the domestic box office as well as overseas market. The film has entered the elite 100 crores club of Bollywood. The film earned the 100 crore mark in 10 days at the domestic box office. The film has been declared a hit by the trade sources. This is the first movie of 2016 to reach Rs. 100 crore. Tradi analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted

 

 

The film has collected Rs. 102.76 Crore in 10 days among domestic circles and Rs. 32 Crore among international circles, making a total collection of Rs. 134.7 Crore in just 10 days. The movie was made with a budget of Rs 40 Crore and is based on a true story of the biggest evacuation happened in the history of the world, when Iraq President Saddam Hussain attacked Kuwait and nearly 1,70,000 stuck Indians were rescued and airlifted by the Indian Government.
