Saala Khadoos Trailer Review – Brutally amazing!

The trailer for R Madhavan starrer SaalaKhadoos is out and it is intense, raw and packs a solid punch with a very tight editing. Produced by Raj Kumar Hirani, the film already boosts of creditability despite a debutant director in SudhaKongara Prasad. In fact, the trailer itself speaks of the strength this sport film promises.

The story revolves around a retired boxer AdiTomarwho was once framed by his coach and lost an all-important match and resorted to a life of cynical self-destruction of booze, brothels and bar-fights. Loyal friends somehow bring him back to boxing as the coach of the lowly rated Indian women’s boxing team where again he gets transferred to Chennai due to his outspoken nature. He then meets a free-spirited, fiery young woman from the fishing community, Madhi and spots in her a champion that could bring India the gold that he was robbed off. Will he able to achieve the dream he has for her is the main plot-line along with the student-coach relation they both share!

R Madhavan totally takes you by surprise with his incredible intensity as the ‘SaalaKhadoos’ AdiTomar and proves why he is such a under-rated actor. Even the girl Ritika Singh who a professional boxer in real life, shines with her very effortless and natural acts seen in the trailer. She might just be the highlight of the movie and an amazing find of Bollywood!

Though the movie looks similar to many sport films in the past but the story-telling really looks appealing! Even the background score and a sneak peak from the songs sounds really nice. Let’s see how thing turn out.

SaalaKhadoos will release on January 29 and it seems like a must watch!
