Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham Trailer Review

Santhanam, who was already seen in two films in the lead role, has again taken up the lead role in Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham. However, unlike his previous two films, Santhanam will be seen in an action oriented solo hero subject. Whether he can pull off a larger than life role is to be seen though. Directed by Srinath, Ashna Zaveri plays the leading lady in the film. Interestingly, thee movie is the official remake of SS Rajamouli's Maryada Ramanna.   

Santhanam - The showman 

Santhanam has a peppy intro song and he is seen making some swift moves. Some of his witty dialogues are 'Madurai eh pathi pesaradhuku Sasikumar, Vishal nu neraya peru irukanga. Madras eh pathi naan dhana pesi aaganum' hit the right note. On the other hand, few dialogues such as 'Innoru mogamadhu paakara maadhiri irukuma' and 'Pethavanga pirichi veppanga-ndra dhairyathula dhana ponnunga love-eh panranga' bring a sense of deja vu. This movie will solely rely on Santhanam's timing sense and fresh dialogues.

Run-of-the-mill plot 

Going by the trailer, the movie is expected to have a standard plot of 'How the hero wins his love' after facing obstacles from her family. Towards the end of the trailer, Santhanam is shown breaking a door and leaping out. There are also a bunch of animated characters who are at the receiving end of Santhanam's punch-lines. A particular dialogue 'Sandhoshama irukumbodhu, idhu evlo neram irukum nu nenachomna, irukara sandhoshamum poidum' looks hugely inspired from Superstar Rajinikanth's famous dialogue. We will have to see how such serious dialogues go down with the audience.

With Sivakarthikeyan's popularity soaring, the pressure is on Santhanam to step up the game to play a solo hero.
