Thug Life starring Kamal Haasan in the lead is an upcoming Mani Ratnam directorial, and the movie marks the reunion of the actor-director duo 37 years since Nayagan (1987). Thug Life's shooting is currently taking place in Delhi, and as reported previously Mirzapur actors Ali Fazal and Pankaj Tripathi are part of this schedule. While Ali Fazal has already joined filming, Pankaj Tripathi is expected to join shooting soon which will take place till May 11, 2024.

Another Bollywood name who is part of the Delhi schedule of Thug Life is actress Sanya Malhotra, who is best known to the Tamil audience as Dr. Eeram from the Atlee directed Hindi film Jawan (2023). Tamil actors who have been revealed to be part of the current Thug Life schedule are Kamal Haasan, Silamabarasan TR, Nasser, Vaiyapuri, Abhirami, among others.

It is also being said that Silambarasan TR plays Kamal Haasan's son in the movie. Thug Life is a production venture of Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International, and Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies. The film has AR Rahman for music.
