Ever since the 'slap' incident at the Oscars, 2022 which lead to a 10-year ban for Hollywood star actor Will Smith from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Smith has not had a full-fledged theatrical release. Bad Boys: Ride or Die, the fourth film in the buddy cop action comedy franchise of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, is the movie that will change this. 

Bad Boys: Ride or Die comes four years since its immediate prequel Bad Boys For Life (2020), and Sony Pictures, worldwide distributors of the movie have now officially announced the film's release date in India. Bad Boys: Ride or Die's India release date is June 7, 2024, and the movie is releasing in English, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages. 

Written by Chris Bremner, and directed by Adil and Billal, Bad Boys: Ride or Die follows George Gallo's characters Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence), who are Miami detectives investigating the corruption within the Miami Police Department. When their late captain is posthumously accused of being involved with drug cartels, and a setup turns them into fugitives, they are forced to work outside the law in order to solve the case.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die also stars Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Paola Núñez, Eric Dane, Ioan Gruffudd, Jacob Scipio, Melanie Liburd, Tasha Smith (replacing Theresa Randle), Tiffany Haddish, Joe Pantoliano, John Salley, DJ Khaled, Rhea Seehorn, Joyner Lucas, Quinn Hemphill among others.
