Thug Life starring Kamal Haasan in the lead, is an upcoming Mani Ratnam directorial that marks the reunion of the actor and his nephew-in-law filmmaker, 37 years since their cult hit Nayakan (1987). Shooting of the Thug Life is currently going on in Delhi, and actors Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan TR are part of this 20 day schedule, which began on April 21, 2024 (Sunday).

Images of actor Silambarasan TR, and director Mani Ratnam in action have surfaced on social media, and it has been reported that Mani Ratnam filmed with 200 junior artistes behind the Red Fort in Delhi. Crucial action sequences are expected to be filmed in places like Tughlaqabad Fort, Pataudi Palace, and Old Delhi during this 20 day schedule.  

Thug Life is a joint production venture of Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI), Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies, and Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies. The movie has AR Rahman for music.
