BOSS ENGIRA BHASKARAN

Comedy is the boss!

A good start is half the job done and Rajesh seems to have concentrated real hard on the dialogues. As a result, the hollow screenplay is tactfully saved from plunging into the depths of action-less monotony. Although the movie stretches itself without any effort by the sheer success of the dialogues, Santhanam's spontaneity stands out in the process and it renders the movie a definite thrust. Absolute time pass without a doubt. (more)

Fun alias Funny.

Humor is no easy job. It is a serious business. In ‘Boss Engira Baskaran’, the director and his team have emerged successful in coming out with an unpretentious entertainer, ably executed by a wonderful star cast - Arya, Nayanthara, Santhanam and others. It may be a simple storyline, but the way in which Rajesh approaches it makes the difference. His dialogues and screenplay are the backbone. (more)

Good time pass.

A multi-star cast, a whisper of a plot and plenty of one-liners that will keep you laughing at regular intervals. Director Rajesh has hit upon a surefire formula to get families audience tripping into theaters during the holiday weekend. You will also come away with some amazing performances. Overall, a good time pass.(more)

Rocking comedy.

Rajesh knows the subtle art of tickling the funny bone. There is nothing new or different in story and presentation but the film moves at a rapid speed due to the Rajesh's dialogues and situational comedy stitched into the proceedings. The Arya-Santhanam comic duo and the crackling chemistry between them is a plus point of the film. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music is hummable. (more)

Boss Engira Bhaskaran rocks.

Boss Engira Bhaskaran is an intelligently made romantic-comedy with finest touches of some real life situations. Arya’s performance is convincing and his comedy timing and mannerisms are impressive. After Arya, Santhanam deserves a big round of applause as he is the backbone of the show. Nayantara does justice to the role, though not outstanding. Music by Yuvanshankar Raja is spectacular as usual. (more)
