Mundane comedy

The movie actually never gets going. A few laughter here and there and the rest of the time you are anxiously waiting for genuinely funny moments. Looks like the makers were too lazy and assumed audience will laugh at anything sold in the name of humour. (more)

Ya Yaa is a big let down

The story completely lacks direction and just seems to drift from one scene to another, without following any logic. The scenes lack life and energy and the performances are average at best. (more)

Typical Shiva brand of comedy which has its share of hits and misses.

Director Rajasekaran, a former associate of M.Rajesh, adopts the OKOK style of approach where there is no real meaty story but the delivery being high on entertainment.(more)

Laugh, at times

Comedy might be the trend in Tamil cinema of late but this film feels like an exercise done just for the sake of it. This is despite the presence of Santhanam and Shiva who have earlier managed to save some of their earlier films with their humour. (more)

Ya Yaa - Not tickling

With so many characters and each carrying a story, it is difficult to fit all that into two hours, and hence the clutter is clear. With this, there are a couple of characters that carry meagre significance, without which the movie was still fine. (more)
