Brilliant storytelling and coming-of-age performances

Neerparavai is sincere

The film keeps you engaged not so much on the strength of its plot, as it does for the interesting characters who inhabit it. It is a moving drama that will undoubtedly leave you with a lump in your throat. And films like this are hard to find.(more)

There is a lot to like in Neerparavai

The technical crew has pitched in with its best. Balasubramaniem's superb camerawork that captures the various moods and tones of the sea is one of the highlights and Raghunanthan's songs Para Para... and Yaar Veetu... enhance the film's emotions very well (though his background score is at times overpowering).(more)
