LEADER Review - Mediocre writing aside, a harmless commercial outing
Despite its mediocre writing and melodramatic stretches, LEADER manages to stay afloat as a harmless commercial entertainer. Unlike Legend Saravanan's first movie, he looks like a human here, good work by his makeup team. But he struggles to express, however the stone-face does not fall on the mockery side this time. Cinematographer Venkatesh captures both the coastal setting and action sequences with visual clarity. Leader Tamil Movie Review - A Calculated Comeback That Mostly Hits The Target
legend Saravanan shows a noticeable leap from his debut. He leans heavily into the 'emotion + mass' template, and surprisingly, it works more often than expected. His chemistry with the child artist feels organic, and the father-daughter sentiment lands effectively. When it comes to action, he carries the required screen presence, especially in the latter half.(more)
